In conjunction with our government relations advocacy efforts, SCBA Bank Political Action Committees provide financial support to those candidates who best understand and support issues important to South Carolina’s banking industry.

All bankers share an interest in the future of South Carolina’s banking industry. In order to preserve the important role of South Carolina’s banks in our economy and our communities, please consider contributing annually to SCBA’s BankPAC.

SCBA BankPAC consists of the SCBA Federal PAC that supports members of South Carolina’s Congressional delegation or those running for those positions, and the SCBA State PAC that supports candidates running for state offices such as the South Carolina General Assembly, or constitutional officers such as Governor, State Treasurer and Attorney General. SCBA member companies can contribute to the SCBA State PAC. Only certain bank officers, directors and other individuals may contribute to the SCBA Federal PAC.

How Contributions Are Used

SCBA’s BankPAC’s sole purpose is to support the campaigns of candidates who understand the concerns of South Carolina’s banking industry. Each year the BankPAC committee reviews requests for contributions, then makes contributions to those candidates worthy of receiving contributions from either the SCBA Federal PAC or the SCBA State PAC.
